for the last 3 weeks when i am in bed and the sheets are rubbing up against my feet.....it feels funny....kinda like when you have a big scar/operation sutured and it feels numb.....same thing with the soles of my feet.

my chemo dr. warned me about this side effect maybe happening to my hands and feet.  nothing happening with my hands but definatley feel that numbness in my feet.

i addressed it to my radiation dr and he relayed a message to the chemo dr.

its not severe...i do not notice it when i walk....only when i touch it or something rubs against it i get that numb feeling.

something to do with the nerve endings being damaged

Richard, I had that too but mostly of the palms of my hands and sole of my right foot. My doctor ordered me a lotion called Clobetasol Propionate. It helped but he also stopped my chemo early that round. Hope this helps.
Peripheral neuropathy...happens to the best of us! Will go away..but may recur at odd moments...just keep walking! HUGS

Peripheral neuropathy is common after the treatment we received. You may notice it off and on. It isn't serious, but can be annoying!

Oh? This is a new one. I heard of hand and foot disease from the Xeloda pills but interesting that it would occur 1 month after treatment? If it is that, it's supposed to be temporary.

Sorry, u did say it started 3 weeks ago. Anyhoo..perhaps symptoms of hand and foot disease from Xeloda pills. Should be temporary per my oncologist.
For me it's just getting worse since I finished my last chemo in June. But I had six rounds by the way. Doctor ordered Gabapentin. It helps a little bit. At least I can sleep at night and not to feel like my feet are on fire.
wow..... mine don't feel "bad" they just feel kinda numb when you run your hand over the soles..... I think the scary part is not knowing how and when it can change???
That's true. You never know.

a week after having completed my PSA and urine tests(5/22/18), i noticed blood in the toilet and completed the F.I.T--fecal immunochemical test.... I forgot to mail it in and drove to the VA and had them give me another one, did it and that afternoon i returned it...two days later i received a call to schedule a colonoscopy for June 04, 2018. results came back positive for a ployp that was excised and also a 4-5cm malignant growth on the dentate line of the anus--right smack in/around my spinchter muscle. T3N0M0...prognosis seems to be really good as it has not traveled nor gone into nodes. scheduled to start chemo/radiation with 5-FU and mitomyacin first 4 days and last 4 days using a PICC line.
